About the Workshop

The energies of Spring are upon us! New beginnings, growth, bright colours, birth, new ideas and dreams, renewal and hope!

Join Nicola for this special workshop to align with the forces of nature. By harnessing the energies of the Spring Equniox we will be setting our own sankaplas, or intentions, for the rest of 2020. Think of this time as an opportunity to reset, to open yourself to any deep longings you wish to take root.

  • We will begin with a short talk on the power of sankalpa, then dive into a rejuvenating yoga practice to awaken your body, mind and spirit.
  • We will close the practice with a meditation to help you listen and connect with the most deepest of your heart’s wishes.
  • We will then use what we have cultivated through practice to create a beautiful vision board! By finding words and images that we are drawn to, we will turn our sankalpas into a visual reminder that we can bring home and use as a reminder to continue to align ourselves to our highest intention

About the Instructor

Nicola grew up in Hong Kong and began her yoga journey here over 10 years ago. What began as another form of physical exercise became a spiritual awakening and a way of life. As Nicola discovered the many aspects of yoga beyond the asana practice, she felt the pull to do her teacher training.

In 2011, while living in San Francisco she took her 200hr teacher training at the Laughing Lotus College of Yoga.

Currently, Nicola is taking her 300hr yoga therapy training with Svashta Yoga. She believes there is a yoga for every body. Ultimately we practice yoga to come back into balance, to sustain a peaceful and pleasant state of being, with loving kindness to ourselves, all others and our environment.

Nicola is a certified vinyasa and prenatal teacher, as well as a Women’s Temple facilitator. She bows to her teachers, Jasmine Tarkeshi, Keith Borden, Jane Austin, Cynthea Denise, Ganesh Mohan and Simone Rita Eggar
