You’ll immerse into, and learn to teach, Vinyasa yoga and Hatha yoga
Our yoga teacher training certification uses our Yoga Alliance approved curriculum
You will learn to teach confidently in front of a room full of people, and also in front of a single camera.
This is not a ‘work by yourself’ training. Instead this is a highly interactive training with live classrooms as well as self-paced components
You don’t need to have an advanced yoga practice to register for this program. You can start right where you are.
This breakdown makes it clear how the rest of the course hours are allocated, providing a comprehensive overview of what you can expect from the teacher training program.
- 30 hours of Asana Practice at YogaUP: You can begin this segment as soon as you committed for the training. Dive into 30 hours of hands-on practice to deepen your understanding of asanas.
- 60 hours of Pre-recorded Lectures: Access 60 hours of pre-recorded lectures at your own pace, giving you the flexibility to learn and absorb the material when it suits you best. Full access once committed to the training.
- 20 hours of Anatomy: Delve into the intricacies of anatomy with 20 hours of focused study. Understand the body’s mechanics and how it relates to yoga practice.
- 5 hours of Assist Teaching (Practicum): Put your knowledge into action with 5 hours of practicum focused on assisting others in their yoga practice. Gain valuable teaching experience.
- 5 hours of Teaching (Practicum): Step into the role of the instructor with 5 hours of practicum dedicated to teaching. Practice delivering yoga sessions under guidance.
- 65 hours of In-Person Lecture
- 15 non-contact hours for homework and reading

Is this a full 200HR Teacher Training?
- Certainly it is, upon completion of the training you will be a certified yoga teacher.
- You can begin to teach at any time, in any environment. You can proceed to have an interview for teaching jobs, share yoga with your friends or at school, or at work, immediately upon completion.
Your 200HR consists of:
Study hours, including reading manual & textbooks
Teaching videos in our learning platform
Live yoga practice sessions
Practice teaching with your fellow students online or a friend / family member in person
Upon completion of the basic course requirements, your 200 hours of study, and demonstrated your teaching skills with a class, you will be a certified yoga teacher! If you’d like, you can register with the Yoga Alliance.
